I brought the moon back to the dark night

Found the wolf lurking in the shadow of the light

He howled at me, telling me how incredible I was

Making me understand why I was upon the land

The moon kept shining, showing its phases

Carrying on the light of the different faces

The wolf could see them all, watch them come and go

When the moon was absent and when it would glow

But when the new moon came up, the wolf would hide

Within the darkness; in absence of the light

The child of the stars danced upon the land

Awaiting the return of someone who would understand

The mountain with no peak is yet to be found

But when I hear you speak I’m far away from the ground

I live to follow and in following I seek

I await the day when we shall meet

In seeking I follow you, in following you I seek

The wolf upon the land, the mountain that has no peak

I know it won’t be now, possibly not so soon

No regret would fill me while listening to the wolf and the moon.
