Synopsis:

Bea’s five-year-old daughter, Agnes, is fading away. She is being devoured by the smog and pollution of the overdeveloped metropolis that we humans call home. Bea knows for a fact that she cannot stay in the city. However, she has just one alternative: The Wilderness State.

This gigantic expanse of inhospitable and savage land has still not succumbed to the challenges posed by mankind. Until now, that is. Somewhere between a science experiment and a refugee, Bea and Agnes slowly learn to survive in this unpredictable and dangerous land. However, while Agnes embraces her newfound freedom, Bea is quick to realize that their mother-daughter relationship will be tested like they had never expected. The New Wilderness is both a vociferous attack on our disdain for nature and a deeply human portrayal of motherhood.
