Synopsis:

Rosie Graham is in the middle of a problem. A few of them, actually. She recently quit her lucrative job to pursue her dream career as a romance writer. Her family doesn’t know about her unexpected, inexplicable career switch. To make matters worse, she is facing a terrible writer’s block. Just when it begins to seem that things couldn’t get any worse, the ceiling of her New York apartment literally comes crashing down on her.

Luckily, she has the spare key to the apartment of her best friend, Lina, who is out of town. However, little does Rosie know that Lina has already lent her apartment to her cousin, Lucas, whom Rosie has been stalking – for lack of a better word – on Instagram for the last few months. Lucas seems keen on rescuing this damsel in distress. His Spanish features, magical grin, splendid cooking skills, and bewitching accent only make him more irresistible to Rosie.

As sparks fly between the two, Lucas offers to let Rosie stay with him, at least until she can find some affordable housing. Things get outrageous when he proposes an experiment to help bring back her literary muse and meet her deadline: He will take her on a series of experimental dates meant to jump-start the romantic inspiration she so desperately needs. With nothing to lose, Rosie readily agrees to this atrocious plan. After all, her silly, online crush is totally under control. However, Lucas’ time in New York comes with an expiration date, and six weeks may not be enough, for either her or her fast-approaching deadline. Elena Armas’ The American Roommate Experiment is a must-read fast-paced romance fiction for seasoned and new readers alike.
