I am in utter darkness

There is no light

I am all alone

There is no one with me

The night has just begun

Slow, dark hours slowly pass me by.

I don’t grieve, for I know

The light will come my way

Sunlight is not far off at all

This night is but a speck of dust falling through the fingers of time

Like the sand of the hourglass

The darkness will dispel by dawn

This too shall pass

And so I hope.
